FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid)
Submit an application online to qualify for loans, grants, and other types of financial aid for college and career training.
Students are able to submit a FAFSA app as early as December of their senior year rather than beginning on January of their senior year. You and your parent will need your own FSA ID#.
Students (and parents, as appropriate) will report their prior prior income and tax information, rather than their most recent income and tax information. (For the class of 2024, use 2022 taxes)
1st Step:FSA-ID
Requesting your FSA-ID is very easy and takes about 4-5 minutes. Make sure you have your Social Security Number handy. One of your parents will need their own FSA-ID. You will receive your FSA-ID between 3-4 business days.

Make sure you have your SSN, Residence card (if applicable), W-2's and records of money earned and 2015 Tax Records.
